Bobby Lee Risinger || Obituary

Bobby Lee Risinger, 88, of the Mt. Olive Community, passed away Monday, July 22, 2024, at his home.

Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 27th at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Dr. Tim Reger officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Risinger, the son of Wilmer Risinger & Elizabeth Roberts Risinger, was born April 12, 1936, in Paris.

Bobby joined the United States Navy and went to boot camp. From there he entered the United States Navy Reserve where he served a number of years. His career at B & W spanned 41 years before his retirement. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge. Bobby loved riding & training cutting horses. He was an avid hunter, and last November was the first time in 63 years he missed opening morning. He married Patti Ross Risinger, and she preceded him in death on Nov. 8, 2004. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a son, Jackie Risinger.

Survivors include a son, Johnny Risinger & wife Sherry, a daughter-in-law, Susan Risinger, grandchildren, Josh Risinger & wife Morgan, Kelli Hampton & husband Josh, Mallory Holladay & husband Tim, and T.J. Hudson & wife Brandi, great grandchildren, Jaxon Risinger, Brayden Risinger, Mason Risinger, and Autumn Holladay, a brother, Billy Risinger & wife Vella, and a sister, Mary Beth Bradford & husband Floyd along with a number of nieces & nephews and a host of friends.

Casket bearers will be Todd Anderson, Kevin Anderson, Kenny Risinger, T. J. Hudson, Paul Barnum, and Doug Cato. Honorary bearers will be: Red Formby, Jerry Brackeen, Philip Risinger, Mike Ramsey, and Brett Jones.

The family would like to extend appreciation to Signature Home Health, Waterford Hospice, Jessie, and Brandi for the care given their loved one.
