Bryan Hicks Rice, 55, of Paris, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Paris Regional Medical Center, Paris, Texas.
Bryan was born on September 7, 1968, at McCuistion Hospital in Paris, Texas. The son of Linda Gail Goodwin Rice and Robert Rice of Paris. He is survived by his parents Gail Mills, adoptive father, Eddie Hicks of Paris, biological father Robert Rice of Washington, and wife Francis, Daughters Sierra Rice and Shiann Rice, one grandson Crew Smith, Sisters, Velvet Bullard and husband Walter Bullard of Hugo, OK, Kandy Miears and husband Shawn Miears of Paris. One half-sister; Angela Bradbury of McKinney TX, and three half-brothers Aaron Rice, Andy Rice, Adam Rice and their families all of Washington. Nephews; Shane Austen Williams, Christian Miears and Charlotte, niece Ashlyn Miears, and great niece Braelynn Bre Howard all of Paris. Aunts; Juanita Young, and Aquilla Nash, including an extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close friends.
Bryan was a welder by trade currently employed at Ametsa corporation Paris, TX as forklift operator. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, loved bow hunting and the great outdoors. Bryan had a voice and personality bigger than life. Bryan attended New Life PCG of Paris. He loved his Lord Jesus Christ, and if you were friends with him, you knew it.
Family will receive friends Monday night, July 22, 2024, between 6-8pm at Bright-Holland funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday July 23, 2024, at 2 PM at Bright-Holland Funeral Home 2601 Lamar Ave. Paris, Texas with the Reverend Johnny Lovett officiating. Serving as Pallbearers are; Christian Miears, Scott McCloure, Walt Bullard, Jason Goodwin, Shawn Miears and Danny Cress. Burial at Evergreen Cemetery. The family of Bryan Rice have requested the honor of your presence at the reception immediately following burial. It will be held at New Life PCG 311 E. Houston St. Paris. A light meal with refreshments will be served, as we continue to celebrate Bryan’s life with his friends and family. Everyone is welcome.
