Dora Lottie Lindeman, beloved mother, grandmother (Memaw), great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2024, at the age of 83 at Paris Regional Medical Center in Paris, Texas, due to respiratory failure. She was born to Frank and Pauline (Conine) Butterfras, both of whom preceded her in death. She was the widow of Billy Joe Lindeman.

She is also preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Horace Collins.

She is survived by her loving brother, Donald (Glenda) Butterfras, and her cherished children: Patti Rosier, Steve (Ada) Walker, Lisa (Mike) Ruffing, and Shelli McCurley. She was a devoted grandmother to Kimberly Martin, Kevin Rosier, Bre’Anna Walker, Britney (Edgar) Treminio, Heather Bryant, Kyle Dossey, and Maci McCurley. She was also a proud great-grandmother to 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Dora had a love for Elvis and country music. She was very social, made friends quickly, and had a remarkable ability to remember names. A family tradition she cherished was giving the “I love you” sign, a gesture that has been lovingly passed down to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. On the day she passed, she was still giving her children the “I love you” sign, a memory that her family will always hold dear.

Her warmth, love, and strength touched many lives, and she will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness and dedication to family will live on through the generations.

A service to honor Dora’s life will be held at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211 on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 9:00 am.

Cremation was under the care and direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home.
