Jimmy Don Chappell || Obituary

Jimmy Don Chappell, 65 years old, went to be with our Lord and Savior June 27th, 2024.

Jimmy was proceeded in death by his parents, Elzie and Sarah Chappell, brother, Mark Chappell, grandparents, Minor and Ruth Bishop and W.W and Rhoda Chappell, and sister-in-law, Vicki Reves. He is survived by wife, TJ, daughter, Amanda and brothers, Danny Chappell, Johnny wife Linda Chappell, Jeff wife Cindy Chappell, Jackey Chappell. Sisters Terry Chappell, Rebecca Matthews and Barbara husband Robert Hughes.

Jimmy was born at Shaw Air Force base in S. Carolina in 1958 to Elzie and Sarah Chappell. He was the oldest of 7 children. Raised in Paris TX. He attended Paris Church of God and went to Paris High school. Jimmy worked at Superior Swithboard with his father. Then at Texas Instruments until he entered a career in truck driving in 1988. Jimmy loved driving trucks and continued to do so for the next 32 years until he retired.

Jimmy loved his wife and daughter immensely. He loved his siblings and extended family. Jimmy was kind and caring and you could always count on him for a hug or encouragement. He was always kind and patient with his many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Paris Church of God 1400 Bonham St., Paris, TX at 10 a.m. Tuesday July 2nd. Visitation and meal immediately afterwards in the church fellowship hall for all who wish to attend.
