Meals on Wheels Red River Valley Non-perishable Food Drive

For July, Meals on Wheels Red River Valley has a non-perishable food drive. Any non-perishable food items are appreciated, but here are a few for example. Canned goods like fruit, vegetables, and meat. Also, dried beans, lentils, pasta, rice, broth, and spices. The sponsor locations for items to be dropped off are Guaranty Bank & Trust on Lamar & the Loop, South Main Iron, Love & Bagels, Paris Coffee Company, Nutrition Planet, & Toyota of Paris.
Items can be dropped off from now until July 31st.
“Items donated will benefit our 3 Senior Centers, that serve individuals aged 60 & older. Items can be dropped off at one of our sponsor locations.”
“The clients we serve are living on a very limited budget. In fact, many have a monthly income of less than $1000. They have to pay their rent, utilities, and insurance, while having enough for food, gas, and other expenses. That’s why, in addition to providing each client with a hot meal, Monday-Friday, we try to help wherever we can.”
