Jeannie Griffin || Obituary
Jeannie Griffin ,79, of Houston Texas passed away June 20, 2024. She was born Norma Jean Pulliam on July 27, 1944, in Paris, Texas to Melvin Buel Pulliam and Golden Northam Gillespie.
She attended Paris High School and Paris Junior College and received her music education degree from East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas. Jeannie taught music and choir in public schools for 25 years, private piano and v2oice, and served as organist and pianist in many college and church choirs. She attended St. John the Divine Episcopal Church in Houston, Texas.
She is survived by her husband Kenneth Lee Griffin whom she married 30 September 1966 in Paris, Texas, their daughter Alecia Lynn Lawyer, son-in-law Lawrence Mark Lawyer and grandsons Jacob Gregory Lawyer and Zachary Marker Lawyer, and sister and brother-in-law Jayne and Ron Bigony, all of Houston.
A graveside service for the family will be held at 2:00 PM at Evergreen Cemetery in Paris, Texas. Arrangements are by Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home in Paris, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The River Oakes Chamber Orchestra @ www.roco.org
