Marilyn Ann Kelley || Obituary

Marilyn Ann Kelley, 70, of Chicota, surrounded by her family, peacefully went to be with her Savior on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at the Chicota Assembly of God with Rev. Matthew Kelley officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM till 7:00 PM Wednesday at the Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.

Marilyn was born on September 3, 1953, in Paris, the daughter of Tommy and Rosie Stubblefield Hale. She was a member of the Chicota Assembly of God and was a caregiver. She enjoyed walks, bird watching and thrifting, and she loved her furbabies very much! You could often find her with family and friends on her front porch.

On May 4, 1968, she married, James Robert Kelley in Chicota, Texas. He preceded her in death on June 25, 1990. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Hazel Nicholson, and her fur baby, Precious.

Survivors include her children, James Robert Kelley and wife, Tamara, Kaletta Ann Cox and husband, Layton, John Robert Kelley and wife, Ashley, and Melissa Kelley and husband, Brandy; grandchildren, Rhett Kelley, Kelsey Kelley, Kelbey Kelley, Joshua Wigley, Blaine Wigley, Ryan Wigley, Chelsea Allen and husband Billy, Jonathon Kelley, Chelby McDaniel and husband Brandon, Colby Kelley, Paisley Kelley, Lakin Kelley, Austin Kelley and wife, Sarah, and John Tyler Kelley and wife, Lauren, 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Johnny Hale and Paul Hale, and sister, Oleta Sloan, and Marilyn’s special companion, her fur baby, Dolly Ann.
