Paris Municipal Band will open its 2024 concert season tonight at Bywater’s Park in downtown Paris, Texas

The Paris Municipal Band will be performing a variety of music at Bywater’s Park in downtown Paris tonight. The show time is 8:30 p.m.
The Bank will be performing from the standard marches of John Philip Sousa & Karl King to a medley by the rock band Chicago which includes “Make Me Smile”, “Saturday in the Park” and “25 or 6 to 4”. Also programmed for this week’s concert will be “Fantasy on an Irish Folksong” which many may know as “Danny Boy”,” Were You There?”, a beautiful hymn in chorale style, “Big Band Bash” which is in the style of the 1940’s swing jazz era, closing out its first of 6 concerts with Cole Porter’s “I Love Paris”.
With weather permitting, the concerts will be held in Bywater’s Park. In case of rain, the concert will be moved to the Pavilion at Love Civic Center.
