Meals on Wheels annual fan drive set for June 21, 2024

The Annual Meals on Wheels fan drive hosted by East Texas Broadcasting is taking place until June 21, 2024.
Fans donated will be distributed to Meals on Wheels recipients to individuals over 60, disabilities, and veterans.
“Many of these individuals are operating on a budget and cannot afford to run the air conditioning during the heat of the summer. In other cases, they don’t have air conditioning at all. These fans can make a huge difference. Oscillating and used fans can create a safety issue for their clients so we are asking for new box fans only. The goal for this year is 75 fans and so far, we have 15,” Shelly Braziel, executive director.
If you want to help, fans can be dropped off at 2810 Pine Mill Road in Paris or Meals on Wheels, 1273 19th St NW. If you don’t have time to drop off a fan, you can make a donation online by visiting their Facebook page, Human Resources Council or by mailing a check to P.O. Box 714 Paris, Texas 75461.
