Gene Don Thompson Jr., 64, of Paris, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at his home.

The family will schedule a memorial service at a later date. Cremation was under the care and direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home.

Mr. Thompson, the son of Gene Don Thompson Sr. and Virginia Watson Thompson, was born Aug. 30, 1959, in Paris, Texas. His career at the Campbell Soup Company spanned 44 years before his retirement.

His father and his brother, Arthur Thompson, preceded him in death. Survivors include four sons, Gene Don Thompson III (Jamie), Sean Thompson (Kelly), Jeffrey Thompson (Sandy), and Christian Thompson (Amber), two grandchildren, Mia Thompson and Yumi Thompson, his mother, Virginia Thompson, and a sister, Regina Henley along with several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
