The Lamar County Sheriff’s Office recently became aware of a past scam that has resurfaced with the caller advising they are a Deputy with the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office.  The caller will request to speak with you or they leave a message for you to call back and advising you owe money for fines, warrant fees or court fees.

The Lamar County Sheriff’s Office will never call requesting money for any fees. Do not give any personal information to the caller or call back to get more information. I
