Local man jailed after box cutter attack

On May 30, 2024, Paris Police Officers responded to an assault call at the Booker T Washington Apartments.

Officers located the suspect, 53-year-old, Brian Keith Alexander on the property in an area with a large amount of blood, but could not find a victim.

It was later learned that Alexander had cut the victim, who had left the scene to seek medical assistance, with a box cutter. Alexander was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon as well as with Public Intoxication.

The victim is in stable condition.
