John W. “Butch” Perry || Obituary

John W. “Butch” Perry age 82, of Paris, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024, in Paris Regional Healthcare. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 31, 2024, in the Roxton Restland Cemetery under the direction of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home. The pallbearers will be Ryan Anderson, Tim Swann, John Crabtree, Craig Hatanville, Byron Prince, Milton Sims, and Brent Cooper. The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. Friday at the cemetery.

John W. “Butch” Perry was born on Feb. 7, 1942, in Paris, a son of R.T. and Eleanor Endsley Perry. He was an industrial engineer, a graduate of Texas A&M at College Station,and a member of First Baptist Church in Roxton.

He married Nancy Boatright on Sept. 17, 1965, in Dallas.

Butch is survived by his spouse, Nancy Boatright Perry, daughter, Karen Perry Davis, grandchildren, Shelbi Lynn Anderson (Ryan Anderson) and Suzi Davis (Tim Swann). He is also survived by a brother R.T. Perry Jr. (Lia), sister, Joan Fraizer, and sisters-in-law, Sue Boatright and Claudette Hitchcock, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Roxton Fire Department or the Roxton Restland Cemetery.
