Hunter Armstrong

Paris Police Officer, Hunter Armstrong was arrested for the second time on Friday, May 17, 2024, according to Lamar County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy, Tommy Moore. “He was arrested on a warrant issued for Terroristic Threat of family/household on Friday, May 17th. A $5000 bond was set and he bonded out on Saturday, May 18th,” said Moore.

Earlier this month Armstrong was arrested on the morning of May 6th for felony assault. Officers were called to the Sunset Lounge on North Main Street around 2 a.m. on a disturbance call.

Upon arrival, officers located a woman with lacerations to her face. That woman was Armstrong’s wife, Callie Armstrong. Witnesses at the scene identified her assailant as Hunter Armstrong. Paris EMS treated the woman who was then transported to a local emergency room.

Armstrong was off duty at the time and was arrested for felony assault, interfering with an emergency request for assistance and public intoxication. He was relieved of his duties with the Paris Police Department and the case is still under investigation.

eExtraNews reached out to Terry Bull, Services Supervisor for PPD and he could not comment today because the case was still pending.

eExtraNews did hear from Callie Armstrong via a voicemail in which she stated the incident at the Sunset Lounge was being portrayed incorrectly in the media. eExtraNews reached out to Kelly Armstrong again today with no response at the time of publication.

This is an ongoing story.
