Opal M. Parsons || Obituary

Opal M. Parsons was born Sept. 1, 1943, to Bill and Dorothy McEwen in Cherokee, OK. Her family moved to Oklahoma City in 1960.

She married Dwayne, the love of her life and they were married for 43 years before his passing in 2016. The couple had two children whom they loved dearly; Billy and Teresa.

In 1986, Dwayne and Opal moved to Augusta, Georgia where she worked in the mortgage business. Opal opened her own business in 2001; D&O Janitorial.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwayne; parents, Bill and Dorothy McEwen; brother, Paul McEwen and grandson, Cody Parsons.

She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Thomas of Grovetown, GA; son, Billy Parsons of Oklahoma City, OK; sister, Doris Hamon; sister-in-law, Sandy Parsons and lifetime best friend, Peggy Perdue. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Josh Finley, Crissy Nelson (Jay), Justin Parsons (Anna), Billy Parsons (Jenna), Ashley Rosser (Nate), Chris Elrod, Devin Stubblefield (Colt), and Chelsea Parsons (Josh), as well as, 10 great-grandchildren.
