Carla Sue Hines || Obituary

Carla Sue Hines, 57, of Paris went to her eternal resting place on Saturday, April 20, 2024.

Funeral services have been set for Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Kelley officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, from 5 – 7 p.m. at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.

Carla was born March 10, 1967, in Paris to Jewell Max and Donna Sue Moore Winton.  After graduating high school, Carla quickly found her calling as a caregiver. Carla spent her whole life as a caregiver, from keeping children in her home to turning her care into a career of private duty sitting. She had the biggest heart and her world revolved around her kids, grandkids, and everyone else she considered her own family. She did not meet a stranger and would give the shirt off her back to help those in need. She had a smile and personality that would light up the room and her laugh was contagious. She will be deeply missed by anyone who had the chance to meet her. She was her own person and you couldn’t tell her anything when she decided. Carla was married to William (Bill) Vernon Hines for 28 years and was an amazing mom and Nan. Carla was a proud member of the Gospel Lighthouse Church.

Carla is survived by daughter, Magan Fodge and husband Jeremy, Kayla Hines and spouse Travis Crossland; son, Eric Hines and wife Jennifer; daughter, Amanda Loranger and husband Dan; sister, Donna Johnson and many nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Savannah Hignight, Makennah Fodge, Noah Hignight, Aubree Fodge, Adilyn Fodge, Brycen Calloway, Kynder  Fodge, Emberlee Crossland, Gracelynn Crossland, Breyor Hines, Carmen Hines, Maverick Hines, Carslynn Crossland, and many more she loved and considered her own.

Carla was preceded in death by her husband William Hines; her mother, Donna Sue Winton; and her father, Jewell Max Winton.

Pallbearers will be Eric Hines, Chris Marion, Travis Crossland, Jeremy Fodge, Isaac Titus, DJ Anderson, and Shawn Winton.
