Deanna Alexander King || Obituary
Deanna Alexander King, 78, passed away on April 14, 2024, in Paris. She was born on July 31, 1945, in Oklahoma City, OK.
Deanna, known to her loved ones as Dee, had a vibrant personality and a deep love for adventure.
Her sense of humor and love for her family shone through in the stories she shared, creating memories that will be forever treasured. The day her first son was born was the same day the Beatles appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show. A running joke between Dee and Chuck was “We almost named you Ringo!” Dee had a soft spot for misadventure—the winter before her third son was born, she decided to take her 1969 VW Bug out in the snow. Along with her two boys, she ended up stuck in a snowdrift and had to have a bunch of dirt bike riders dig her out.
She was a fun-loving mom who had a passion for travel and truly loved animals. She cared for several dogs, cats, horses and mules throughout her life. While she had so many, her favorite dog was Spot a scrappy stray she had while living in Woodland, Texas.
And did she love to travel! In the 1970s, she went to Czechoslovakia. A few years ago, she rode a train across the country and cruised to Alaska. There were a million stops in between.
She loved the mountains and owned cabins in the high country of Colorado and New Mexico.
Deanna had a fulfilling career at Westinghouse, later Phillips, where she worked as a shift supervisor for over 20 years. Her dedication and hard work made a lasting impact on those she worked with.
She is survived by her sons, Chuck Musgrove and wife Wendy of Moore, Oklahoma, Joey Musgrove and wife Nicole of Detroit, Texas, her grandchildren, Anthony Flournoy of Yokosuka, Japan, wife CJ, and their children, Ben, Prudence, and Winnie, Steele Musgrove of Fort Worth, Texas, and Raelin Musgrove, of Detroit, Texas. From her second and third marriages, she gained several stepchildren whom she loved: Steven Alexander and wife Tricia of Phoenix, Arizona, Timmy and Lori Alexander of Whitehouse, Texas, Sherri Boswell and husband Barry of Ovilla, Texas, Denise Camba and husband Javier of Waco, Texas, Larry Alexander and husband Clifford of Orlando, Florida, Mary Lord and husband John of Keller, Texas, Paul King and wife Jennifer of Garland, Texas, Carol Donovan and husband Pat of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. From these cherished bonus family, she had a host of bonus grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Mikayla Alexander, Ashton Alexander and wife Serenity and their son, Arli, Madison Wagner and husband Jared, Micah Alexander, Reed Alexander, Austin Alexander, Sarah Cambia and husband Nick, Javier Cambia IV, Brayden Boswell, Emma Boswell, Cayden Alexander-Sawyer, Cayman Alexander-Sawyer, Collier Alexander-Sawyer, Camelah Alexander-Sawyer, Lily King, Sloane Donovan, Zach Lord and wife Sarah, Eric Lord and wife Monroe, and their daughter Iris.
Deanna was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Elizabeth Leitner; her brothers, Bill and Don Leitner; her husbands, Leon Alexander and John King; and her son and sometime partner in crime, Randy Musgrove – don’t let him pull that butter trick on you in Heaven.
