Local educator debuts art show at Plaza Art Gallery
“Cíclico”, a solo exhibition featuring artworks by Mario Munguia Jr. is now on view in Downtown Paris, Texas. The exhibit is in The Chamber of Commerce/Plaza Art Gallery building, 8 West Plaza, Paris, TX. The show will run from Monday, April 15th through May 10th. The Plaza Artists Guild will host a public reception on Friday, April 19th, from 6 – 9 p.m. as part of their Third Friday Art Show Program.
Mario Munguia Jr. is a k-12 art educator and college adjunct instructor in Paris, Texas. Munguia graduated with a BFA from The University of Texas at Tyler in 2016 and an MFA from Arizona State University in 2019. Munguia’s work has been featured at the 2016 NCECA National Student Juried Exhibition in Kansas City, the 2022 Contemporary Clay Exhibition in Colorado, the 2023 Off Center International Ceramic Exhibition in Sacramento, and has participated in the C.R.E.T.A Ceramic Residency in Rome, Italy.”
