Denette Sanders Walker

Denette Sanders Walker, 61, of Paris was welcomed home by Jesus Thursday morning, April 11, 2024. Visitation will be held at Bright-Holland Funeral Home on Sunday, April 14, 2024, from 5 – 7 p.m. and a celebration of her life will be held on Monday, April 15, at 2 p.m. at Calvary Chapel. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

Denette was born in Childress, TX on March 12, 1963, to Craig Sanders and Mattie Bowman. She graduated from Paris High School in 1981, the same year she met the love of her life Paul Walker. Paul and Denette were married on Aug. 25, 1984. Together they raised three boys, Seth, Jordon, and Bryce. Denette loved to refer to each of her boys as her favorite oldest, middle and baby boys. Denette became a Registered Nurse in 1988 and was fundamental in helping deliver countless babies over the next 36 years at what is now Paris Regional Health. She was highly devoted to each of the patients that she cared so much for, as well as to her work family, but her true passion for caring began when one of her greatest titles was given to her in 2010 when she became known as Nonna.

Denette was preceded in death by her father Craig Sanders and her mother Mattie Bowman. She is survived by her most loving husband Paul Walker, as well as her sons Seth and his wife Mallory, Jordon and his wife Reagan, and Bryce and his wife Heather. Denette is also survived by her four granddaughters Sydney, Evelyn, Avery and Mazie Walker. She loved nothing more than to devote her time and spend every moment she possibly could to being with each of them.

Denette loved and cared for each and everyone of her family members, always putting their needs above hers. Though she will be deeply missed, we have comfort in knowing that she is home in Heaven and in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

John 14 1:1-3  Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
