William Greg Campbell || Obituary

William Greg Campbell, 58 of Paris went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 21, 2024. He was surrounded by his loved ones at his home.

Funeral services have been set for Friday, March 29, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Lamar Avenue Church of Christ. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

Greg was born on July 1, 1965, to William and Barbara Wood Campbell. He was born on his mother’s birthday and she always referred to him as her best birthday gift ever. Greg married Lori Allen on May 27, 1995. Together they raised two beautiful daughters Averie and Allie. One of his greatest joys in life came in 2017 when he became a Pawpaw. He loved every minute he spent with his three grandchildren.

Greg is survived by his wife Lori; children, Averie and Seth Adams and Allie Campbell; grandchildren, Lincoln, Denver and Parker Blayre Adams; his parents, William and Barbara Campbell; a sister, Stacey Wood;  two nephews, Chase and Hannah Wood and Zeke Wood; and a special niece, Mallory Plemmons who took on the difficult task to be his hospice nurse.

Greg graduated from North Lamar High School in 1983. He continued his education at Paris Junior College, University of North Texas and finished up his bachelor’s degree at Texas A & M Commerce. He worked for many years at Campbell Soup and later went to work at Kimberly Clark where he was employed at the time of his death.

Those who knew Greg knew of his quick wit and a funny sense of humor. He was a selfless man with the kindest heart and always thinking of others.

He loved sports, especially Motocross. He loved to ride his dirt bike and watch anything related to motocross.
