Lamont Keith Kalian || Obituary
Lamont Keith Kalian passed away peacefully from his earthly life into the arms of his Savior on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Faith Hospice in Dallas after a lengthy illness.
Lamont was born on Dec. 17, 1946, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Harvey and Evalina Kalian where he lived until the age of 5 when the family moved to Covina, California.
After graduating from Northview High School he served in the United States Air Force in Suffolk County, Long Island, New York where he met and married the love of his life Nancy, building 56 years of love, family and memories.
Upon moving his family to Texas in 1978, Lamont went to work for Campbell Soup, retiring in 2005 whereupon he began his second career as an EMT and a CPR instructor. He worked for AMRin Dallas at the Cowboy Stadium and Texas State Fair. He also worked as a CPR instructor at Paris Junior College and a medical assistant at Campbell Soup. He so enjoyed this second career and only finally retired in 2022. He was an active member of Ramseur Baptist Church where he faithfully served as a deacon.
Lamont is survived by his wife Nancy, his daughter Melanie Walls and husband Justin of Paris; grandchildren Madison Walls, Christian Walls, and Allie Walls; One sister Gail Byrd and many friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harvey and Evalina Kalian; sisters Karen Hayes, and Gwen VanHeuvln and his in-laws.
Lamont loved to travel, playing golf, painting and sketching. He loved his family first and foremost and spent lots of time with his grandchildren teaching them to fish and rarely missed any of their sporting events or school functions.
He was always there for them. His bond with his daughter and grandchildren will live forever.
