North Lamar ISD Elementary campuses celebrate Read Across America Day

North Lamar ISD campuses joined the nationwide celebration of Read Across America Day on March 1, 2024. This day is aimed at promoting the joy of reading and literacy among students.
At Higgins Elementary, parents were warmly welcomed into classrooms to share the magic of storytelling with their children and classmates. Students listened intently and excitedly shared their thoughts as they engaged in the shared reading experience.
Paris Junior College boys’ soccer team was also on campuses throughout the district visiting classrooms and reading stories that captivated the young students while nurturing a culture of literacy.
