According to those following the Facebook page #BringDaniCHome and the community of Bonham, Texas, citizens are growing frustrated with local law enforcement and the media for the lack of movement in the missing person’s case of Danielle Croft.
36-year-old Croft went missing on Dec. 7, 2023, when she was to go to her grandmother’s home after visiting her boyfriend, Samuel Oxley along with his brother, Ezekiel Oxley and Jesse Teves at his home near Gate Street in Bonham. Through the search of arrest records, eExtraNews discovered 37-year-old Ezekiel Oxley was indicted on Feb. 23, 2023, for Assault of a Family/Household Member w/Previous Conviction. Croft’s disappearance was not reported until more than 24 hours after her last sighting and none of the men in the home are considered as suspects at this time according to Bonham Police.
According to the Stillwater News Press, Ezekiel Oxley was accused of beating a woman with his fists in front of two witnesses the morning of March 24, 2017, and according to an affidavit filed in Payne County District Court. The affidavit reads Stillwater Police responded to an assault at about 7:30 a.m. and entered a residence in the 3700 block of West 15th Avenue to find the conscious woman on a couch in the living room “covered in blood.” The woman refused treatment but identified Oxley as her attacker, accusing him of beating her after she was late picking him up from a house. The case has not yet gone to trial.
The Bonham Police Department has used ground forces and a drone in the search for Croft. EquuSearch is working with the department as well as several other law enforcement agencies on the investigation but has turned up no leads as to Croft’s whereabouts. The department has stated in previous interviews with other news outlets that they did find an article of Croft’s clothing on Main Street.
