Robert Duncan || Obituary

Robert Duncan passed away at his home in Ladonia on Jan. 15, 2024, at the age of 87. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 20th at the First United Methodist Church in Ladonia with Ed Lee and Stephen Long officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30-11 a.m. before the service.

Born August 29, 1936, in Ladonia, Robert Earl Duncan was the son of Eva Jeanette Norton Duncan and Albert Earl Duncan. He was a graduate of Ladonia High School and studied English at East Texas State University.  Robert married Jeanette Luttrell on December 14, 1957, and they had four children. He continued his parents’ business and owned and operated Robert Duncan Trucking for over 40 years.

Robert is survived by his children Robbie Duncan Terry and husband Ritchey, Dana Lynn Duncan and Stephen Long, Joe Daryl Duncan and wife Jenifer, grandchildren Natalie Blair Noble, Emily Paige Noble, Samuel Duncan Hudgins, Seth Daniel Hudgins, Alexandra Nicole Duncan, Robert Owen Duncan and great-grandson Luca Alexander Medina.

He was preceded in death by Jeanette Luttrell Duncan, a son Robert Mitchell Duncan, his parents, a sister Doris Jean Duncan, and sister and brother-in-law Billie and Robert (Bob) Joyner.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home, Paris, Texas.
