Linda Anne Vanderburg Thurman, 77, of Paris, passed away at Paris Regional Health on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024.
A gathering of family and friends is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 24th from 5 – 7 p.m. at Bright-Holland Funeral Home.
Linda, the daughter of John James Vanderburg & Tura Maude Carpenter Vanderburg, was born July 30, 1946, in Chicota.
She graduated from Chicota High School. At 18, she began a career with the Texas Department of Transportation 32 years before her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, Johnnie, Rudolph, Kenneth, and Sonny.
Survivors include two children, Charisa Colton & husband Laron and Chad Thurman & wife Amanda, grandchildren, C. J. Saunders & fiancé Courtney, Caitlynn Saunders, Dain Thurman & wife Kayleigh, Carsyn Saunders Malone & husband Wesley, Courtney Boswell & husband Levi, Collin Allen & wife Peyton, and Jacob Allen, nine great-grandchildren, and a sister, Wanda Alexander along with numerous nieces & nephews and a host of friends.
