Charles Roy (Buzz) Bridgers || Obituary

Charles Roy (Buzz) Bridgers, 76, of Paris passed away on Jan. 11, 2024, at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2024, in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Myre officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Bridgers was born on March 30, 1947, in Lamar Co., Texas a son of Roy Walter and Catherine Free Bridgers. He was a carpenter and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

He married Nancy Fay Marshall on May 15, 1968, in Paris. She preceded him in death on June 10, 2005. He was also preceded in death by his parents, grandsons, Mason Nye and Spencer Nye, siblings, Roy Bridgers Jr., Belinda (Blondie) Martin and Betty Reed.

Mr. Bridgers is survived by children, Cindy Nye and husband, Chad, Tammy Bridgers, Melissa Fryar and husband, Jeff, Kimberly Cooper and husband, Rodney and Brian Bridgers and wife, Lajunia; grandchildren, Blake Bridgers, Harley Cooper, Hagan Cooper, Cody Stockton, Cade Stockton, Landon Bridgers, Morgan Bridgers, Dylan Safi, Angelene Jackson and Ava Erwin Shook; great-grandchildren, Sophie Stockton, Slade Stockton and Leyla Jackson; brothers, Bobby Bridgers, Howard Bridgers and Johnny Bridgers and sisters, Grace Cooper and Rita Lane.
