William Joseph Gay Jr. || Obituary

William Joseph Gay Jr. was found deceased Friday, Dec. 15, 2023, in his home.

He was preceded in death by the light of his life and wife of 45 years, Sheila Joyce Gay.

He is survived by their children, Sybil Marie Windsor (Richard) and William Joseph Gay III (Sunny), and their grandchildren, William Joseph Gay IV, Andrew Thomas Windsor and Eowyn Grace Grajeda. William will also be forever remembered by his siblings, Marjorie Ruark (Randy Ruark), Carol Fisch, Gerard Gay (Kathy Gay), Tom Gay, Lola Way (Jerry Way), Michael Gay as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and countless friends.

A native of West Sacramento, CA, he was born in 1956, married in 1975, and moved to Texas in 1999. Besides his love for his family, he also loved time spent in the mountains, fishing, scenic motorcycle rides, animals, travel, watching sports, crossword puzzles, intellectual debate and reading.

He will be remembered fondly by all who knew and loved him. May he forever rest in peace.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks, to honor Will’s love for Sheila, that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
