Gerry Hines announces candidacy for Lamar County Constable – Precinct 2
Gerry Hines has announced his candidacy for Lamar County Constable – Precinct 2 in the upcoming election, on Tuesday, March 5, 2024.
Hines was born in Lamar County, raised in Lamar County and has served in Lamar County. Gerry has a diverse skill set and
a high degree of experience in law enforcement and is deeply committed to public service and implementing positive change in the role of Lamar County Constable. Hines is inspired by a sincere belief in serving others and investing in our growing
communities and is confident that he can bring positive change and create a safer, stronger and unified community that will make our neighborhoods a place where everyone feels safe, supported and empowered.
Hines previously served in the United States Coast Guard for 5 years, Houston Firefighter for 2 years, Paris Police Department for 12 years reaching Master Police Officer and training officer and is currently serving as the District Court Bailiff at the Lamar County Courthouse for the past 3 years. Gerry carries a track record of integrity, leadership and professionalism in all of his past and current roles.
Hines is a current resident of Roxton and is married to Amber Hines. They have five children, Kate, Klaire, Karson, Kason and Kenzli. Three children currently attend Chisum ISD and participate in multiple athletic activities. Hines and his family are
active volunteers in our community.
