Betty Pearl Huggins || Obituary

Betty Pearl Huggins, 95, of Forest Chapel, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2023, at her home while surrounded by her family.

The family will receive friends at Bright-Holland Funeral Home on Friday, Dec. 22^nd from 5 – 7 p.m. Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 26^th at the funeral home with Rev. Bill Dickey officiating. Burial will follow in McDonald Cemetery. 

Mrs. Huggins, the daughter of Ben King and Pearl Brinkley King, was born on Feb. 9, 1928, in the Broadway Community of Lamar County, TX.

She graduated from Delmar High School and Paris Junior College. During her working years, she was a homemaker and stay-at-home mom.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Ray Huggins, a son-in-law, Gary Sanders, siblings, Emily King, Pete King, Delores Coston & husband Jack, Bob King & wife Edna, Bill King, Jean Bratcher & husband Red, Ben Dale King & wife Imogene, and Jack King and wife Oleta, her in-laws, Sam Huggins & wife Gwen, Pete Huggins & wife Louise, Dora Boren & husband Ballard, Earl Huggins & wife Robbie and Robert Huggins.

Survivors include three children, Phillip Ray Huggins of Paris, Rebecca Sanders of Forest Chapel, and Bobby Dale Huggins & wife Beverly of Bivins, grandchildren, Eddie L. Sanders of Forest Chapel, Joe K. Sanders & wife Janet of Paris, John P. Sanders & wife Cheryl of Forest Chapel, Ben Huggins & wife Andrea of Bivins, and Zack Huggins of Dallas, great grandchildren, Joseph, Jacie, and Jonathan Sanders and Cameron and Kyleigh Fields, a sister, Juanita Gordon & husband Troy of Broadway, a sister-in-law, Sarah King of Howland and many nieces & nephews and a host of friends.
