St. Paul Baptist Church ‘Hams for Fams’ is an annual tradition that blesses many families in the community. On Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023, the Men’s Department met, assigned routes by addresses and delivered Free Frozen Hams to Seniors.

In partnership with a company in Dallas and Deacon James Thomas. “To see the joy on the faces of unsuspecting individuals as we say Merry Christmas while handing them their ham is a blessing. I especially enjoy talking with them and catching up. Many of them just appreciate the visit even more than the ham which makes their Christmas even more special. Our Pastor is big on community and we love that for our church,” said Thomas.
Each year St. Paul makes sure to care for their own Senior Saints with hams but never fails to widen its reach by extending the blessing to other senior citizens in the community, especially the sick and shut-in and those Homebound. “Thank you to those who recommended households anonymously. It makes the deliveries more meaningful and aligned with what Jesus would do. It’s an honor and a privilege to serve Christ by serving others. Giving is the Spirit of Christmas and Jesus is the Reason for all Seasons. I’m grateful that this year our Men’s Department blessed approximately 36-40 families with hams for Christmas,” said Dr. Shay Bills, Pastor of St. Paul Paris.
