Mrs. Katie Elizabeth McCourt || Obituary

Mrs. Katie Elizabeth McCourt, 85, of Chicota, passed away, on Dec. 12, 2023, in Paris Regional Health. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 18, 2023, in the Chicota Baptist Church with Rev. Rocky Burrow officiating. Burial will follow in the Little John Cemetery with Phillip Brown, Anthony Gallaway, Austin Chaput, Seth Drake, Randy McCourt and Keith Parker serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the church.

Mrs. McCourt was born on Oct. 9, 1938, in Chicota, the daughter of Dan and Ila Marlar Parker. She married James Nolan McCourt on Oct. 12, 1954, in Hugo, OK. He preceded her in death on Nov. 27, 2010. She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Rick Syring, parents, and 7 siblings.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda Syring, son James Wesley McCourt and wife, Mary; brother, Alvin Parker and Linda; grandchildren, Phillip Brown and wife, Allison, Misty Drake and husband, Seth, Brandi Chaput and husband, Jason, Jayme Deason and husband, Eric, Ashley Galvan and Ryan Tarby, Tony Syring, and wife, Raquel, Sophia Mazzola and husband,  Anthony; great-grandchildren, Austin, Taylor and Jacob Chaput, Caroline and Blake Deason, McKenzie and Madison Drake, Vera and Novia Mazzola, Zoey, Gwen, and Perci Syring, Anthony Gallaway and wife, Bianca, and David Galloway.
