Mr. Clem Westley Tyler || Obituary

Mr. Clem Westley Tyler, 76 of Paris, passed away Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023, in Dallas. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, 2023, in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Duane Hamil officiating. Burial will follow in the McDonald Cemetery with Westley Tyler, Thomas Tyler, Jeff Hall, Lonnie Hall, Scott Hall and Ben Brown serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 – 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Tyler was born on Feb. 4, 1947, in Chicota, the son of Clem Thomas “Buck” Tyler and Connie Marie Sims Tyler. He retired from B&W after 30 years. He loved Blue Bell Ice Cream, he had a passion for driving and he and his wife loved to travel after his retirement. He was a Christian.

He married Dorothy Lee Beverly on June 11, 1965, in Paris.

Mr. Tyler is survived by his wife, Dorothy Tyler; sons, Westley Tyler and wife, Debora and Thomas Tyler and wife, Maggie; grandchildren, Ariel Tyler, Whitney Elfassi and husband, Aaron and Balin Tyler; great-grandchildren, Kobey Tyler and Korbyn Tyler, a sister, Barbara Jane Vanderburg and a brother, Gary Tyler.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Winona Hall, Earline Honsinger, Kenneth Stewart, Stanley Stewart and Odessa Vanderburg and special fur friend, Nicholas.
