Geoffrey Thomas Grubb || Obituary
Geoffrey Thomas Grubb passed away peacefully at his home in Paris on Sunday, Nov. 20, 2023. He was born on March 31, 1946, in Abilene and graduated from Abilene High School in 1964. Dr. Grubb attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and graduated in 1971. He completed his residency at Austin State Hospital and was a Lifetime Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
He was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, and Rotary Club of Paris United, and was a Paul Harris Fellow.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Kay Labosky Grubb; son Geoffrey Grubb, Jr. and wife Adrienne of Portland, Oregon; daughter Hannah Deppisch and husband Ken of Nacogdoches, Texas; granddaughters Georgia Deppisch and Catherine Deppisch of Nacogdoches, Texas.
The family would like to thank exceptional caregivers Liz and Sarah for their time and attention as well as the nurses and staff of Platinum Home Hospice. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rotary Foundation, Doctors Without Borders, or The Paris Community Theater.
The family will receive friends at Bright-Holland Funeral Home on Wednesday, Nov. 22nd from 5 – 7 p.m. Concluding services will be in Nacogdoches where burial will be made in Old North Church Cemetery under the direction of Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Home.
