Cathy Denise “Mama Niece” Harbison || Obituary

Cathy Denise “Mama Niece” Harbison, 67, of Blossom, passed away Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023, at her home.

Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22^nd at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Wade White officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home thirty minutes prior to the service.

Denise, the daughter of Billy Blackshear & Martha Endsley Blackshear, was born May 2, 1956, in Paris.

She attended West Lamar High School. Her career in banking began at Paris Bank of Texas, followed by a number of years at Lamar National Bank. Denise then began working as the secretary at East Paris Baptist Church, where she was a member. She was close friends with all the members of her Sunday School Class.

Her parents, Billy & Martha, a daughter, Jinifer Jumper, and a sister, Dahl Pullins, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, David Harbison, a grandson, Dain Thurman & wife Kayleigh of Paris, two great-grandchildren, Harper Thurman and Mason Thurman, a sister, Diane Falls of Cooper, and several nieces, nephews and cousins including a special cousin, Brad Chappell of Carthage, along with a very special friend, Dorothy Brown, and many other friends.
