Sandra Kay Melton || Obituary

Sandra Kay Melton went to be with the Lord on Monday, Nov. 13, 2023, at her home.  

She was born on November 11, 1940, in Corpus Christi to Earnest and Leola Davis.  A memorial service will be held at Chicota Baptist Church soon.    

She was a graduate of Taft High School.  Her career was in accounting until retirement.  She was married to “the love of her life,” Richard Melton, for 63 years.  

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Lynn Thornbrough; and a son, Richard Melton Jr. 

Her survivors are her husband, Richard Melton; daughter, Bonnie Greene; son, James Melton; brother, Harold Davis; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

Sandra loved Chicota Baptist Church and had an abiding faith in her Lord Jesus Christ!  She loved God’s creation.  Sandra spent many happy hours riding on “her” land, managing and watching God’s creatures.
