Harold “Dean” Dzenowski || Obituary
Harold “Dean” Dzenowski went to his “Heavenly Home” on Nov. 9, 2023. He was born in Vernon to Sgt. Pete Dzenowski and Fern Smith Dzenowski on Feb. 25, 1956.
After graduating from Paris High School in 1974, Dean was employed at the Coca-Cola Factory and was a welder by trade before becoming a licensed Security Officer and working for almost three decades at Paris area hospitals. He loved his job and considered himself part of the law enforcement family.
He married the love of his life Joyce Jennings Dzenowski, on March 26, 1988. Dean’s favorite things included spending time with his family, camping, fishing, and hunting. He cherished his time outdoors with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He also loved to tell stories and had a knack for entertaining with them. He especially loved to share his love for Christ with others and dearly loved his church family at Living Word Assembly of God. We could always count on him to keep us informed about the weather and will dearly miss him in so many ways.
Dean is preceded in death by both parents, a sister Laura Giguere, a brother-in-law, Larry Bailey and niece, Lisa Ann Bailey, and a son-in-law Brian Baxter.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Dzenowski and daughter, Leilah; daughter, Meghan and husband, Adam,and their children, Karsyn and Marleigh Crump; daughter, Amanda and her children, Collyn, Breeanna, and Jayla Baxter. He is also survived by his sister, Linda Bailey, with children, Larry Jr. and wife, Wendi Bailey, William, with wife, Sherry Lynn and child, Alanna Bailey and a nephew, Michael with wife, Lisa, and child, Maisen Goley as well as, many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Dean also cherished and impacted many other children who called him “Daddy”, “Papa”, and “Uncle Dean”. He loved them as if they were his own which are too numerous to mention.
A visitation with friends and family will be held Thursday, November 16th from 5 – 7 p.m. at Fry Gibbs Funeral Home.
A Home Going Celebration will be held on Friday, November 17th at 1 p.m. at the Living Word Assembly of God in Paris. Burial will follow at Georgia Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Collyn Baxter, Joe Gordon, Noah Gordon, Richard McLaughlin, Guy Lynn Baker, and Adam Crump.
Honorary Pallbearers are Mike Smith, Jay Smith, Kameron Avery, Micah Avery, and T. Wayne Moore.
Pastor Kelley Adams will officiate the service.
