D.C. Ford || Obituary

D.C. Ford, 87 of Paris, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2023.

Funeral services have been set for Friday, Oct. 27, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Paris Church of God with Rev. Kurt Routon, Rev. Aaron Routon, and Rev Doug Holt officiating.  Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service time.

He was born on Sept. 6, 1936, in Paris to Cecil and Pearl Bramlett Ford. He graduated from Paris High School in 1955. He married Virginia Lane on Sept. 3, 1955, in Paris and was an active member of the Paris Church of God for 75 years.  DC owned and operated Ford’s Food Center.  DC served in the Army Reserves and was a member of Affiliated Food Stores, National Polled Herford Association, Paris Chamber of Commerce

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Lane Ford; children, Kenny Don Ford and wife Cristie Miller Ford, Gina Evette Routon and husband Kurt Mathew Routon; grandchildren, Amanda Ford Merritt and husband Ty Merritt, Ashley Ford Ayad and husband John Paul Ayad,  Aaron Michael Routon and wife Lauren, Caleb Joshua Routon and wife Ashley, Zoe Routon Burt and husband Ethan Burt; great-grandchildren: Emma Wilson, Angelina Ayad, Alanee Ayad, Oakley Routon, Josey Routon, Elijah Routon, Jude Routon

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Pearl Ford; son, Ricky Don Ford; grandson, Daniel Cole Routon; brother, Euless James Ford and wife Tillie Ford; daughter-in-law, Michelle Ford.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Ty Merritt, Ike Wilson, Caleb Routon, Aaron Routon, W.F. Lane and Rob Featherston.
