Dorothy Lou Patterson || Obituary
Dorothy Lou Patterson, 83, of Paris, passed away Saturday, Oct. 21, 2023, at Paris Regional Health.
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27th at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with burial following in Providence Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 5 – 7 p.m.
Dorothy, the daughter of Walter Neil Patterson & Velma Musick Patterson, was born Sept. 4, 1940, in Paris.
She attended Paris schools. Dorothy was a babysitter to many children and a mother to a lot of kids. Many referred to her as Dr. Pepper Dot, as she always had a Dr. Pepper for them.
Dorothy attended Graham Street Church, Tudor Street Gospel Mission, and most recently The Gospel Lighthouse in Powderly.
Her parents, Walter Neil Patterson and Velma Musick Wallace, and three brothers, Bobby Neil Patterson, Jerry Lynn Patterson and David Edward Wallace, preceded her in death.
Survivors include three siblings, Nancy Williams, John Wallace & wife Sherry, and Richard Thomas Wallace & Trish along with numerous nieces & nephews and a host of friends.
