Austin Brown,37, of Oklahoma City, OK passed away on Sept. 13, 2023.
Austin was born in Paris on March 25, 1986, to Randy and Kay Brown. He and big brother Bronson grew up in Paris.
Big-hearted, fun-loving and adventurous, Austin loved helping people in any way he could. Austin loved animals and always had a menagerie of pets: dogs, cats, ferrets, and birds: a cockatiel who could whistle Dixie and a sun conure Sunny. One of his favorite pastimes was skateboarding and he also enjoyed karate and wakeboarding.
He attended Pathway Christian Academy and Paris High before graduating from Agape Boarding School in Stockton Missouri. He attended Oklahoma Baptist College in OKC for 2 years where he studied to be a missionary. Austin had a gift for learning foreign languages which he discovered when he studied Russian at OBC. He also picked up sign language, Italian and later Spanish. He enjoyed speaking to others in their language, especially if he could help them communicate or make them feel more at ease.
He worked at a variety of jobs and moved to California in 2014. He enjoyed the southern California weather, surfing, and the beach. While he was in California Austin met his girlfriend, Whitney. He took up tattooing which became another favorite pastime for him. He was very artistic and many of his friends and acquaintances have his tattoos.
In 2020 Austin moved to Oklahoma and began working in the family concession business. His son Lucas was born on Oct. 1, 2021, and being a father to Lucas quickly became his number one priority and the joy of his life. Austin, Whitney, and Lucas attended Victory Family Church in Chickasha, OK.
He also began volunteering and working with the youth at The Comeback Kid Society. He loved the kids at CKS and found great fulfillment in his role there.
Austin is survived by his son Lucas Brown, his girlfriend Whitney Henderson and her daughter Presley, his parents, Randy & Kay Brown, his brother Bronson Brown and wife Crystal, nephews Kannon, Koen, Kage, Kreed, Kru, and niece Kyah.
