Daphane Morrison Tackett || Obituary

Daphane Morrison Tackett, 82, of Mabank, passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, Sept. 11, 2023. Daphane was born August 18, 1941, in Powderly to Lloyd and Josephine Elizabeth (Conder) Morrison.

Daphane was preceded in death by her parents; 5 siblings, Linoel Morrison, Alta Beeler, Mary Ellen Flippen, Janet Preston, and Alvin Morrison; and daughter, Johanna Neal.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Thomas of the home; two daughters, Kim Oglesby of Mabank, and Jennifer Cochran and husband, Howard of Amarillo; seven grandchildren, Cassie Tackett of Garland, Kylie Oglesby of Arlington, Amber Fitch of Decatur, AL, Amanda Cochran of Oklahoma City, OK, Beth Pronger of Amarillo, Kaitlin Cochran of Harrison, OH, and Tommy Neal of Amarillo; three great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Fitch, Gracie Fitch, and James Pronger; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

“In life, we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts, you hold a place no one else will ever fill.”

A private memorial service is scheduled for a later time.
