Carol Fleming of Paris || Obituary

Carol Fleming, 83, of Paris, entered eternal rest on Aug. 31, 2023. She was the daughter of Vaughn and Lavieta Hemphill and was born on July 27, 1940, in Murphy, N.C. She married Jack Fleming on Feb. 14, 1978, in Murphy, N.C. building 33 yrs. of marriage before his death on April 1, 2011.

She was a seamstress, loved golf, bowling, and crossword puzzles and worked at Belk for 18 years. Most of all she loved her family. Her kids and grandkids were her life.

She was preceded in death by Jack, her mother and father, and Aunt Bootsy. Carol is survived by children, Lynda Pranulis (Joe), David Smith  (Dusty) and Robert Smith (Ginger); grandchildren, Sawyer Smith, Kinsey Smith, Cody Williams, Chancy  Miller (Keaton), Lauren Bellotte, Taylor Tornberg,  Brittany Neshat Brandon Neshat; sister, Tamra Garbutt (Marty) and cousin, Sherry Chapman (Ivan).
