Chester Eugene “Chet” Martindale II of Paris || Obituary
Chester Eugene “Chet” Martindale II of Paris passed away peacefully at Medical City – Plano, on Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2023, while surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 17, 1960, in Enid, Oklahoma to Chester and Joan Martindale.
A hardcore OU Sooner Fan, Chet could be found in his easy chair enjoying the “Boomer” Sooners each time they played or reading The Dallas Morning News from cover to cover. An honor graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler, Texas, Chet followed in his father’s footsteps, as an active member of The Boy Scouts of America, earning BSA’s highest attainable achievement by becoming an Eagle Scout. After high school, he became an executive at First City Bank of Dallas until the bank was purchased. He spent the rest of his life in Paris.
Survivors include his mother, Joan; brother Rick (Lisa) of Tyler; sister Lisa (Randy) Connot of Paris; sister Lori (Mitch) Campbell of Texarkana. In addition, Chet is survived by 9 nieces and nephews, as well as several great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Chester “Mac” Martindale.
A private memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 2, 2023, with family members.
