Patsy Ann Farris-Bestul of Deport || Obituary
Patsy Ann Farris-Bestul, 78, of Deport, passed away Thursday, Aug. 24, 2023, at her home.
Memorial services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 26th at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Blanton officiating.
Patsy, the daughter of John & Irene Nichols, was born Aug. 25, 1944, in Detroit. She graduated from Detroit High School in 1963. She worked at Westinghouse then later for Prairiland School at the Deport campus as head cook until her retreatment in 2015.
She married Travis Wallace Farris in 1966, and they had a son, Mark Wallace Farris, and a daughter, Alice LeAnn Farris. They built 39 years of family and memories before his death in 2006. In 2014, she married Bruce Bestul.
She loved working in the yard, sewing, and cooking and was an excellent housekeeper. Her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her grandkids. Patsy was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Bruce, a son Mark Wallace Farris & wife Tiffany of Blossom and a daughter, LeAnn Farris & companion Amanda Ward of Paris, two grandsons, Ayden Travis Farris of Paris and Kreidyn Leslie Farris of Blossom, a granddaughter, Lakyn Marie Farris of Blossom, a brother, Kenneth Nichols & wife Betty, and a sister, Linda Davidson & husband Charles along with several nieces & nephews and a host of friends.
Her parents preceded her in death.
