Julie Davis Flatt of Blossom || Obituary

Julie Davis Flatt, 44, of Blossom, passed away Friday, Aug. 11, 2023.

Julie, the daughter of Leonard Davis and Patricia McEntyre Davis, was born March 4, 1979, in Texarkana.  Julie graduated from Prairiland High School and joined the United States Marines in 1998. Upon her honorable discharge from the Marines, she joined the Texas Army National Guard. In 2005, she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Texas A&M Commerce. Although most of her time was spent as a homemaker, she taught school for a year, 2011-2012, at a private Christian school in Arkansas. Julie had been a volunteer firefighter with the Faught VFD, and later a paramedic.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Deport.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Patricia McEntyre, Mike Benningfield, and Leonard Davis, and her grandmother, Dora McEntyre.

Survivors include her husband,  Micheal Flatt, one son, Jameson Flatt, a brother, John Davis, her mother-in-law & father-in-law, Sandra & Ted Flatt, brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Steven & Alyssa Flatt and Cody & Laura Flatt, aunts & uncles, Martha & Johnie Goins, Mike & Debby McEntyre, and Jeff & Debbie McEntyre, and nieces and nephews, Hudson Brooks, Axel Flatt, Case Flatt, Olivia Flatt, and Mia Flatt along with a plethora of friends.

Following Julie’s wishes, services will not be scheduled. Cremation was conducted under the continued care and direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home.
