Mary Elizabeth Smith of Paris || Obituary

Mary Elizabeth Smith, 90, of Paris, passed away Friday, July 28, 2023, at Heritage House of Paris.  Cremation was conducted under the continued care and direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home.  A graveside inurnment service, at McDonald Cemetery, will be scheduled at a later date. 

“Miss Mary” as she was affectionately known by many, was born March 10, 1933, in Red River County to Ray Malone and Cecil Annie Thompson Malone.  She graduated from Delmar High School in 1950.  Many remember her as the manager of the Goodwill Store in Paris.  She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, mother-in-law and friend to many. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her former husbands, Wendell Loggins and Jackie Lynch. 

Survivors include her son, Michael Loggins; a daughter, Lori Loggins Gaines & husband Jeff; grandchildren, Jennifer Loggins, Julia Johnson Homer & husband Nathan, and Andrew Johnson & wife Meagan; great-grandchildren, Braylin Craig, Tripp Lamm, Danielle, Leona Johnson, and Mary Johnson; one brother, Tommy Malone & wife Ginger; one nephew, Craig Malone & wife Robin, along with a host of friends.
