Nova Sue Goley of Paris || Obituary
Nova Sue Goley, 79, of Paris, passed away Monday, July 24, 2023, at Brentwood Terrace Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.
Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 2 p.m. Sunday, July 30th at Life Tabernacle in Cunningham with Rev. Frankie Norwood officiating. Burial will follow in Restland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 5 – 7 p.m.
Mrs. Goley, the daughter of Alfonzo Smith & Angie Jewel Taylor Smith, was born Nov. 11, 1943, in Lamar County.
She attended Cunningham School. During her working years, she worked in health care, at Superior Switchboard, and was an apartment manager.
Nova was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter-in-law, Barbie Goley, and siblings, Grant Smith, Charlie Dale Smith, Donald Ray Smith, Darrell Wayne Smith & wife Evelyn, and Karen Lee Cherry & husband Darrell Wayne.
Survivors include four children, Robert Goley & wife Kim, Roy Goley, Rhonda McClure, and Cynthia Jean McFarland & husband Dewayne, numerous grandchildren & great-grandchildren, and siblings, James Paul Smith, Larry Gene Smith, Shirley Haskell, Ruth Ann Coleman, and Bobbie Jewel Merchant along with a plethora of nieces & nephews and a host of friends.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at Brentwood Terrace Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center and Paris Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center for the care given to their loved one.
