Doris Elaine Edelhauser Allison of Powderly || Obituary

Doris Elaine Edelhauser Allison, 75 of Powderly, passed away July 3, 2023, at Legends Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

A graveside service has been set for Friday, July 7, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Red Hill Cemetery with Rev. Rocky Burrow officiating. A visitation has been set for Thursday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.

Doris was born in Honey Grove on July 31, 1947, to Roy Lee and Doris Bettis Edelhauser.  She was a member of Chicota Baptist Church and the owner of Allison Sanitation.

She is survived by her children, Catana and Rusty Yarnell, Twala and Lloyd Buck, Jacob Jr. and Pam Allison; grandchildren, Amber and Cory Brown, Aireul Allison, Brandon Buck, Becky Buck, Brittany and Chanse Berryman, Harley Adams, Payton and Kaitlynn Buck, Kimberlee Allison and Hunter Allison; blessed with 12 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild; siblings, Rodger and Debbie Edelauser, James and Darlene Lassiter

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Lee Allison, Sr.; parents, Roy Lee and Doris Edelhauser; brother, Calvin Edelhauser.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Harley Adams, Hunter Allison, Lloyd Buck, Payton Buck, Gaylon Lassiter and Rusty Yarnell.

For those wishing to visit with the family, they will be gathering at Doris’ home on Thursday and Friday.
