Johnny White of Cunningham || Obituary

Johnny White, 79 of Cunningham, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2023, in Forney.

Funeral services have been set for Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Randy Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Red Hill Cemetery.

Johnny was born in Paris on Dec. 19, 1943, to Ervin and Irene Palmer White.  He attended Powderly High School and then served in the 101st Army Airborne Division in Fort Campbell, Kentucky from 1963-1966.  Upon an honorable discharge, he went to work immediately as a long-distance truck driver, having driven the truck for over 60 years, until he laid his log book down for the last time in March 2023.

He is survived by his children, Kimberly Morman, Darla Guthrie, and Stacey White; grandchildren. Dustin Morman and wife Megan, Chauncey Guthrie and wife Hailey, Charlie Guthrie and husband Jake, Corbin Haar; great-grandchildren, Blakely Morman, Braydon Morman, Brice Morman, Evaliegh Morman, Heidi Guthrie, Blaire Guthrie, Eli Schmidt, Cole Schmidt; siblings, Ronny White and wife Dana, Jimmie Long; several nieces and nephews; brothers and sisters-in-law; David Wells and wife Marsha, Carolyn Sue Wells, Cindy Wells Kreiger.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Lavoy White; his parents, Ervin and Irene White; his siblings, Arlie White, and Jackie Rook.

Serving as Pallbearers are Dustin Morman, Chauncey Guthrie, Corbin Haar, Dameon White, Daniel Hamm and Ethan Sides.
