Joe Donald Rhodes of Fort Worth || Obituary

Joe Donald Rhodes, 76, of Ft. Worth passed away on June 1, 2023, after a short illness.

Joe was born on April 12, 1947, to Dennis and Barbara Rhodes. He was the 2nd to youngest of 10 children. In February 1966, he married Betty and they had 1 child. They were married for 41 years.  Joe had 2 beautiful grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; parents, Dennis and Barbara Leatherwood Rhodes; sisters, Mary Evelyn and Eloise; brothers, Cecil, James, Robert, Bobby, Richard and Kenneth; his granddaughter, Kristin Raines Carter.

He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Raines and her husband Ben; his grandsons, Austin Raines, and Brandon Carter; great-grandchildren, Cierra Raines, Mayson Raines, Hayden Carter, and Sadie Kay Carter; many nieces and nephews he loved dearly.

A graveside service has been set for Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery in Weatherford.  The family will receive friends on Monday, June 5  from 6 – 7 p.m. at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home in Paris, Texas.
