Celia Cano of Paris || Obituary

Celia Cano, 83, of Paris, passed away Friday, May 12, 2023, at her residence. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m.Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Father Raymundo Garcia as celebrant. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.

Celia was born on Aug. 12, 1939, in Mexico a daughter of Benito Cano and Leocadia Paredon. She was a merchant and a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her spouse  Jose Alvarez and 7 siblings.

She is survived by children, Rosa Rangel and spouse, Genaro Rangel and their children, Sandra and Oscar Rangel, Antonio Alvarez and spouse Faviola Alvarez and children,  Edgar, Diana and Lorena Alvarez, Hortencia Gutierrez and spouse, Ramiro Gutierrez and children, Rogelo, Leonel, Saul, Yolanda and Nancy Gutierrez; 5 great-grandchildren, Sofia and Theodore Rangel, Mateo Gutierrez, Luca Lopez and Joel Guerrero and two brothers, Juan and Franco Cano.
